What is the difference between Business Essentials and Advanced Management?

Depending on the needs of your organization, different modules are available within the BE and AM series. The Advanced Management Foundation Package has more modules included. In addition, you have more “a la carte” modules available for Advanced Management. Please review the lists before you make your decision. You can upgrade to Advanced Management at a later date for a price differential.

Can I buy “a la carte” modules without the Foundation Pack?

No, you must buy either the Business Essentials or Advanced Management Foundation Pack.

What is the Foundation Pack?

The Foundation Pack is analogous with a System Manager. It enables you to install Dynamics GP and create companies. It also includes the Dynamics Report Writer and 1 Full User.

Do I have to change VARS to buy from Shop4ERP.com?

No, if you have already established a relationship with a partner in your area, you can keep your VAR of record and still take advantage of our discounts.

Can I install and implement this myself?

You can install and implement Dynamics yourself; however, we recommend that you work with a partner in order to maximize the potential of the software. If you do not have a partner, please ask us, and we will refer you a partner in your area.

How long does it take to get the software and registration keys?

From the time that we receive payment, it takes approximately 2 to 5 days to process your order. Most orders are shipped electronically directly to you.

Can I return the software if I change my mind?

Once your order is placed, all software is Non Refundable. Please do your due diligence to ensure that you are ordering the correct products prior to placing your order.

What type of hardware do I need?

What is Maintenance, and do I have to have it?

Microsoft requires all first time customers to purchase a maintenance plan. There are three plan options priced at 16%, 18% or 25% of the System List Price (not your discounted price). The first two plans provide you with all updates and enhancements to the software during your enrollment period. The third plan, offers you the updates and enhancements along with Microsoft telephone support. Please see Fact Sheets tab for further details on each plan. Existing customers MUST be current on their maintenance in order to purchase additional modules. If you are purchasing add on modules to your existing Dynamics installation, you must choose the maintenance plan that you are currently enrolled on. Not sure which plan you are on? Do I need Microsoft SQL to run Dynamics?

Yes, SQL is required. You can purchase Microsoft SQL Standard/Enterprise, or use Microsoft SQL Express, which is free from the Microsoft download board.
